Hi---the car is a 14 Jeep GC diesel---110k---took it to the dealer for the transmission service---sealed ZF8--they did it-$570---I know! So pick the car up and
head onto the interstate---running about 80---she beeps---message says coolant over heating---goes to limp mode---pull over immediately. So while waiting
on the wrecker I check the coolant level---still has plenty---oil is fine--and didn't spew a bunch---just a bit of antifreeze under the overflow----the check engine light was on when I took it in for the tranny----to resolve this the bill says P2001-00 intake manifold performance bank 1 and 2 --parts ordered. I did inform them that the car had not done a regen in a while which has been a problem with the car on and off for a long time.

Might anyone have any suggestions as to the cause of the overheating? I just don't trust these guys! And I would think it would have more to do with the regen since the coolant level is normal---sure I guess an impeller could fail but just have to think a rare event.

You thoughts appreciated! Thanks you

The AEM software update should cover any problem with the 2014-2016 Ecodiesel covered by the extended warranty that was covered under the class action lawsuit. The 2014-2019 Ecodiesel has a recall for the EGR cooler. The parts are covered under that recall.
