Hey fellas,

Just wanted to add a thread for common places to look for water infiltration if your carpet, cubby’s under your rear seats or rear floor boards get wet after raining/ car washes.

#1- after purchasing my truck my HEADLINER DEVELOPED WATERSPOTS after a week of owning. Dug into it and found out that the third brake light bulb had been replaced when it went through a state inspection. These brake light gaskets are not replaceable, after about 2 months of installing the new brake light assembly, i swapped my cargo bulbs to led, leak came back. Little bit of rtv gasket maker and I never had another issue.

#2- my truck came home from the body shop with WATER PUDDLING ONLY UNDER REAR SEAT. Shop took it back and replaced rear window gasket, said one of the pins for setting glass in place was bent when they removed it. Water issue went away.

#3- After that I was DRIVING IN RAIN, checked under seat out of curiosity, headliner was dry but UNDER BACKSEAT AND REAR FLOOR BOARD CARPET WAS WET. I pulled rear seat and checked behind the matting and found my exhauster was missing all but one flap. Replaced exhauster and last flap fell apart as I took it off. No water since. NEW EXHAUSTER IS DESIGNED DIFFERENT DONT BE ALARMED.

I hope this helps pinpoint water leaks by basing off where your water is appearing at!

If anyone else has had a water issue feel free to chime in!

Just wanted to add some pics. Rear seats will need to be unbolted, and lifted slightly to unhook the rear sliders to let it fold down. Mine is a 2014, so if you start experiencing water, this may be your culprit and only way to find out is remove the bed or seats. 43FBCF32-56B1-4E94-8BF4-C85E68874876.jpeg38E5D7B7-5569-43F6-B2C1-6E33ACC598B6.jpegF240BF0B-F55F-4E28-83BA-799212BF5BD2.jpeg3306D867-646B-4CB6-991B-4162CCE83A74.jpeg7C107739-242F-47F8-A529-2AD79DC736FE.jpeg340B05EE-5876-4D0A-AE96-F02920C3BBB9.jpeg73C39839-42DB-4343-A62B-22BCE90914E6.jpeg
