Wheel TPI question

I own a 2016 ED with the steel wheels, and am looking at a set of mag wheels off a 2017 Ram, and the 2017 wheels have the factory TPIs still in them. I'm assunming that the 2016 & 2017 wheels are interchangable, but I don't know if this will be a simple wheel change, or does something have to be done to the onboard computer to so it will recognize the new TPIs. BTW... The 2017 wheels are the same size as my current wheels.
Also, are the lug nuts the same on both the steel wheels and the Mags?
