Went on a 1500 mile trip, mpg down 2mpg to 25.Around town 14.
Think largest cause is flash changes shift points mostly in 5th or 6th around town stop and go.
Anyone else see the's changes?
They told him he had voided his warranty when he installed the after market tuning chip. They can tell it has been done even if you reinstall the original OEM chip
My friend Bill has his in for Turbo, in 3 weeks now.
He had installed the GDE tune,they called him on the warranty even though the original chip was in it when it went in.
Guess I'll wait until the warranty is up before I do anything, although I liked the way his truck performed.
Got a call from dealership. They said the oil level was fine and no oil around the filter (there was when it went in) . It doesn't have any oil and looks really clean now.Grandson told them he thought the Truck Fairy fixed it. Although they did offer me another free oil change for my trouble ...
Got my free oil change(Rotella T6)5w40 and flash,I guess.
Filter leaking,oil all over engine cover from filling, (didn't remove cover to fill),oil on filter side of engine,(didn't let filter drain before removing )back to dealer tomorrow to see what they can mess up now.

Great , the parts guy just called me and said the computer shows him the 3.0 diesel now specs 5 /40. Their number crosses to Rotella T6 or equivalent oils.

My feelings also, talked to Ram customer service and was told to follow the recommendation in my owners manual, as that was all the info they have, any other questions talk with my dealer. Am glad I do my own oil changes.
Just talked to my dealer on this and was told the changes to 5/40 must be a rumor as he hasn't seen anything. I gave him the RRT # and asked him to let me know when they get updated so I can get my free oil change they gave me when I bought the vehicle.

First RAM, averaged 26mpg on 7000+ mile west trip.Would have been better without their speed limits and 4 passengers . 80/85 doesn't do anything for mpg..
