Yes, i would like to go after FCA for the re-flash that turns our trucks into unsafe dangerous turds on the road. Waiting up to 5 seconds for the throttle to respond can be fatal to more than us in our trucks, and for the poor saps that paid close to retail for their trucks the $3k doesn't cover...
I just ignore the regen. letting it do what it wants, but have never seen the DPF FULL yet in my 2016. Did the dealer do the Smog re-flash to your truck prior to selling it to you?

I see nobody mentioned the fact that whomever you purchased the truck from could have reset the oil life prior to sale to save themselves $100 and let you do the oil change. I wouldn't worry about issues yet. just perform the oil change ASAP and then you can look at the truck display every 1k...
Thanks, But the trucks are turds off the lot. With the GDE or other... they drive better, feel more competent, and the extra mpg is nice. Hate to have the AEM re-flash and then it goes back to stock or (Looks like worse!)
$3k is nice, but doesn't pay for a new truck or other vehicles around me...

Can you opt out of the Tune? or will it be required. GDE shared all of their buyers information with Big Brother. If we don't accept the re-flash it better not be registered for the street! :(

Exhaust Gas Recirculating valve - all fuel powered vehicles have them to re-route unfiltered exhaust back into the engine to create a sealed system.
GDE site will better explain, but it reduces the # of times that the system self...
I recommend the GDE tune also, as that is what i have (4-mpg gain). Cold weather is a fuel mileage killer for the ED. #1 diesel provides lower mpg's, and the transmission needs to warm up to 190-deg in order to allow the high mpg #'s. it takes 15 miles to warm up to operating temps in nice...
