    Poor DEF Quality?

I've owned diesels for years but this is my first that requires DEF. I'm sure that some of the other folks on here are successfully mixing distilled water with DEF and better understand the minimum required ratios to keep from setting off trouble codes. I don't plan on diluting my DEF and like...

    Poor DEF Quality?

That's sound advice. Which is exactly why I drained and refilled the DEF first instead of heading to dealer. (Even though CA mandates a 70 or 80k emissions warranty depending on the part). I figure I have at minimum 20k more miles left before that warranty expires.

    Poor DEF Quality?

I too have used Supertech several times in the past without incident. Ironically I paid $7.88 for 2.5 gallons of Supertech. I bought Peak Blue DEF at my local rural NAPA store for a little under $10 for 2.5 gallons. A couple of bucks certainly isn't going to break the bank.

    Poor DEF Quality?

There are a couple of good videos on draining the DEF tank. Basically there is a quick disconnect where the filler tube connects to the tank. Pop off the filler tube and insert the suction end of a basic hand suction pump into the tank until you feel it bottom. Then pump out the contents into...

    Poor DEF Quality?

I was reading some independent lab reports and while all DEF is supposed to be a mixture of 32.5% urea, it's the quality of the distilled water that varies. Walmart was very high in iron and calcium which some times can lead to the clogging of the sensors and injector (wasn't my problem). I...

    Poor DEF Quality?

I threw a P20ee code 20 miles after putting Walmart Supertech DEF in my truck. I have 51k trouble free miles on my '17 EcoDiesel. Code says the SCR Catalyst system operating below efficiency. Ram says the first thing to check is DEF quality. I reset the ECM and the same code came up 25...

    SFT Sale

Thanks. I didn't think it would cause any issues but was concerned that the EGR delete might result in possible issues with SCR system by altering combustion chamber temperatures and such by no longer diluting the air and fuel mixture. That leads me to another EGR delete question. Am I...

    SFT Sale

This has nothing to do with the your black friday sale post but you seem to be very knowledgeable about the SFT tune. So here's my question: What if any are the disadvantages or risk involved with ordering the stage 1 tune WITH the EGR delete option? Any potential issues with the stock...

Unhappy with Performance after Emissions Recall Update

I own a 2017 Laramie Eco Diesel bought new at Elk Grove Ram (CA). Bought it because they sold a couple of hundred at $20k to 23k off of MSRP a little over a year ago. (I figured I'd never be able to buy another brand new loaded up truck for $33k plus government fees and tax.) I guess I can't...
