But the whole time the EGR was gumming up my map sensor my manifold, swirl valves etc. Slowly destroying the motor, quickly destroying mileage and performance
If you're talking about A banks bullet it's an excellent product but it will not stop your EGR from destroying your motor. The best my truck has ever run was with the banks bullet,
mine does the same thing after my tune was redone several times for errors on their part. Now when it's cold, it does that drop out/ surge right after starting and once when I had to get going, started and pretty much immediately accelerated. I've not had a good experience in any shape or...
Like he said there, with certain years, 15 for sure, as that's what I have, if you don't add resistance, they will be continually problematic. And yes, many of the LED's out there are total junk with false specs on brightness and frequency. Many are rejects of what were supposed to be better...
if you don't turn off your EGR, you'll need an '18 then a '20 and so on. The problems will keep coming and you'll destroy one after the other, rather each will do itself in.
Ok, that 2 pack has the 'total intake system cleaner. the co. has a video on youtube and he's spraying it after the airbox so was thinking it was probably not what you used, and that it was not a foam. Looks like it's new expensive banks manifold and remove the egr eventually may just plate it...

is this the Mighy VS7 cleaner you'd mentioned as effective in another thread elsewhere?
I thought I'd try it, but may just do the new intake. Looks like a real pain from the...
thanks, have you ever installed a banks manifold? I sure as hell won't invest in another OEM. Any big risk factors to doing one myself, by no means a mechanic, I just manage to muddle by hook or crook and don't ruin too many things.
I'm not sure how I chose the masochistic mission to make...
Has anyone here put on a Banks intake manifold? How hard was it? How much happier did it make you? Having just tuned I'm trying to shore up some other problems to see if I can make this last and be enjoyable, cac pipe, oil catch, intake pipe, egr delete, still have my def. I had nothing...
yeah, I think you're right. I have to say after 30+ years of pickups, Ford never gave me a single hiccup. Never a dealer visit or warranty instance. My one silverado was a death machine. Like stopping a sled on ice, and everything else. Very bad vehicle in almost every way. That was early...
the transmission tune is really really noticeable, as the trans was formerly laughable, couldn't hold a gear if you rolled over an acorn it would downshift, rev way beyond necessary or efficient in any accelerating situation, just terrible. I credit it mostly with the increase, but can't be...
I just did it so will try to field your questions best I can.
1. SFT saves your original computer format, if it has AEM, that is what is saved to reflash.
2. you just reconnect to SFT server where yours is saved, you'll know, it will be one of 3 servers, select your program and down it comes...
