DEF fluid gauge seems stuck & haven't added DEF for months

The dealer visits was what I was thinking of, my truck had a recall, last year?, for a programming update (dealer checked said it already was installed), I thought maybe something like that might have affected it?

DEF fluid gauge seems stuck & haven't added DEF for months

I got my 2016 two years ago, with just under 166k, and the DEF gauge just touching on red. I added two 2.5 gal jugs of Walmart DEF when I took it for fuel fill-up, and that was the last I put in until this past January, almost 11k miles later. It hadn't even gotten down to the same point, it...

    No heat

Do you mean the engine isn't getting hot/coming up to temp? Or no heat in the cab? If it's no heat in the cab, does it have the auto climate controls? If so, could be one of the sensors for that unit malfunctioning.

    Fuel Leak

Thanks for the tip, it was at the pump, but I didn't need to remove the cover to access it. Metal hard line near the top, passenger side of the pump had a slight leak. I called the dealership that did the recall, they confirmed I could try tightening that connection, as long as I didn't get...

    Fuel Leak

I know this is an older thread, but i think I may be having a similar issue. Within the last week or two, I've been occasionally getting a fuel smell and sometimes after driving & being stopped for a while (30-40 minutes, maybe?) I find a small spot (2-3 inch diameter) of fuel just to the...

Hi all. I’m MoparLarryAK. Retired. Love Mopars.

I'm at about 172k on my 2016, no problems since I've owned it, went in yesterday for a today appointment to get the recall done. After I got the letter from Ram, I called my local-est dealer (same one I use for oil changes, etc.) and got on the waiting list. I think I waited maybe 2-3 months after.

    PO299 code

The hissing noise would have me looking for air leaks in the pipes/hoses that run from the turbo to intake first. Especially clamped areas, in case a clamp has came loose.

    2019 High mile success stories

I've got a 2016 tradesman 4x2, regular cab, longbed, all stock with just a bit short of 170k miles. I've had it since March, but I've only put about 4k of the miles on it. Mostly commute to work & back, about 10.5 miles round trip, 5-6 days per week. About once a week, I'll go out for longer...

    new EcoDiesel owner!

Hi guys :) I finally admitted to my self that my "vintage" '95 K2500 Suburban with a getting creakier by the mile (276k-ish!) 6.5 TD had become less than optimal as a daily driver  , so I've just bought a 2016 1500 4x2 Tradesman yesterday, loving it so far! It "only" has 166k on...
