Exhaust smell in cabin after EGR delete and tune

Yep. That's how mine works. Smells like a proper 1960's tractor. It's a diesel. You take the emissions system away and it will smell accordingly. The late 1980-1990 diesels are probably the cleaned engines out there(as far as engine with no emissions system goes). But when they...

    Banks intake manifold install?

Good job. Thats how I got fuel rail off. It worked fine. According to specs you have to replace the rail lines every time you remove. But I definitely didn't. I just tightened them to my descresion like I would have with any other rail lines on other engines. It's selfpriming and it was...

Exhaust filter 100% full Service Required

So I have had this same issue. I had a engine light that I didn't take care of right away which then stopped the regens. I eventually got 100% and the dealer message. I also had the throttle light flashing and a limp mode. The dealer said it cost me 165 and hour and 1-4 hrs for the forced...

    Banks intake manifold install?

Unless you are building your engine and want alot more boost, the EGR is the only threat to the manifold. 20 bucks in cleaner and a bit of time will do the trick. What happened to your engine that you are swapping it? How many kms?

    Banks intake manifold install?

Yes. I saved the stock intake. It was gummed up teribbly, but I figured that if I clean it and I do a EGR delete after the fact, the swirl valves and plastic manifold won't be a issue. If you have a lack of boost, then I suspect a hole in the manifold due to manifold fire but if that's not...

    Banks intake manifold install?

Just did the banks manifold install today. It took about 2 hours to pull it all out. The intake was very gummed up as I have 210k on it. Once I had it out I decided to clean it and see what I can do. It was still intact so I used mean green solvent and a toilet bowl cleaner as well as a...

    Banks intake manifold install?

Ok so what kind of tune? Do you just get a shop to tune that? Do you get a tuning chip? Or do you have to get one of those reflashed ecms and send yours back for the core? Thanks

    Banks intake manifold install?

Hi guys, New to the forum and love the amount of info so far. Thanks. I'm still confused on the tuning end of things. Want to do the banks intake and the EGR delete since I have PO200a codes and am certain it is manifold soot related. What does this mod require on the tuning end if...
