Follow up on my Ram 1500. I finally got the Sofa King tune and the transmission tune, as well. I installed the tunes with little issue, though it took some info from the guys at Sofa King and once uploaded, the truck runs great again. It does run smoother and no more lag or hesitation from stops...
The EPA has cracked down on tuners and deletes. If you're not in CA, you are probably ok for a while. The Highway Patrol, if they pull you over, are taking mirrors and inspecting trucks for deletes and impounding them and fining the owners. I do not know how long until the rest of the country is...
I bought mine used but it had reasonable miles on it, was in nice shape, and well below wholesale value. I did not find any issues until the update on the engine, before that it ran great...as good as my former 5.7L hemi for performance at over twice the mileage. Now not good on either.

I am not sure, but I read and heard the EPA was cracking down on retuning/ EGR deletes, etc and that aftermarket companies are no longer going to be able to provide the items to do upgrade/ deletes legally anymore and that all future products will have to adhere to the EPA regulations.
I just bought a 2015 and it does the same thing...at intersections it scares the crap out of me! It does not matter how hot or cold the motor is and it does it almost all the time. The mileage is nothing to brag about either...not happy and I just got it.
My 2015 is having the same stalling issues exactly as you describe, but my seems to do it almost all the time unless you are slowing down into a light and it changes. If you have to stop at a light or sign for more than 30 seconds it stalls like you stated and when it stops lagging, takes off...
Love the truck, but having it less than a week and the engine is stalling at intersections and hills. Scares both me and my wife! The milage is nothing to brag about either. I guess I should have bought a 5.7 Hemi!
