    How many miles on your ecodiesel and have you had any problems?

    We have a 1500 with 42000 miles. Started having weird noise after an oil change at dealership in March. We went on a trip towing our travel trailer 2 weeks later. Noise got worse. No warning lights came on. Took it to a repair shop to see if they knew what the noise was and how serious it was...

    From looking at my receipt on oil changes from 2017, once they used 5w30. The receipt from 2018 are in my truck so I can’t see them right now.

    Would using wrong oil cause engine issues? It sounded like metal loose inside the engine and an awful noise.

    Our engine has to be replaced with 42,000 miles on truck! Why? It started sounding strange after oil change. Dealer won’t say why engine failed. Says too much involved to determine cause. So they are replacing whole engine. I’m not happy about this. Wonder if I should sell it?
