Howdy? Has anyone received compensation from FCA due to the emissions issue?

GDE and many others have been shut down by the EPA. That's why it says sold out. I had the mod done and I don't see much if anything wrong. It's a little more laggy but not bad at all. maybe I got used to it but I have 119K on mine so I do drive a bunch. No check as yet but according to the...

Anyone had their ecodiesel catch on fire

I understand now. It certainly can happen to anything.

Bio diesel vs non bio/mpg and oil change frequency?

Wow. Tires wise I am running Nitto Terra Grappler G2's since 25K @ 42PSI. I generally do a 2-3 minute warm up in winter and I set my cruise for 75 on the highway. Most of my travelling is done via secondary roads @ 45-50 mph average. At 75 on the highway, I am averaging about 24-25 as I said...

Bio diesel vs non bio/mpg and oil change frequency?

Do you really see mileage that low? I average 24-25 consistently. The lowest I ever had was 18+ going to Canada last year towing. For over 50 miles I was stuck in stop and go traffic which decreased the average quite considerably. I have over 40K on my truck. Regarding the Bio usage, it depends...

Anyone had their ecodiesel catch on fire

With all due respect, nowadays an engine fire is extremely rare. In 35 years working on vehicles, I have only seen 4 and I haven't seen 1 in over 10 years. Sometimes, if involved in an accident, it can happen. A fire like this though; you rarely see them. It had to have some kind of issue.

    Oil Spec Recall/TSB - Grounds for Class-Action?

Maybe not. However, most LDD's are using 5w-30 ultra low ash. Some use 15W-40 ultra low ash. The recommendation on the TSB of Rotella T6 which is a higher ash content oil from what I understand is worrisome. I am considering using Amsoil DEO which I stock which is DPF compatible if my research...

    Nitto Terra Grappler G2 Impressions

Good to hear, I have sold them to customers on Tundra and on a 3500 ram in LRE. Both like them. I like the 65k treadlife warranty and of course the traction.

    Oil Spec Recall/TSB - Grounds for Class-Action?

I am more worried how this will affect DPF regeneration/clogging than any damage. I am not a fan of the Pennzoil so I use Amsoil with the OE filter until the Mann becomes available. The Mahle has the o-ring in the wrong place and while it may be ok, I am not taking the chance.

    Nitto Terra Grappler G2 Impressions

About 3k ago I installed a set of these. Here are my impressions: 1. MPG dropped about .5-1 MPG 2. Traction increased quite a bit everywhere 3. They are more noisy than stock but not bad 4. Ride seems exactly the same 5. They balanced perfectly with less weight than the stock Badyears. I did...
