Can I swap towing mirrors for Power folding mirrors?

You will need the mirrors, drivers door switch, and both inner doors modules, and either the appcar or alfaobd or the dealer to add them to your truck. Doable....yes, but time consuming to collect all the parts. Sometimes the dealer won’t add the sales code to your truck to enable the mirrors...

2016 Dodge ram 1500 ecodiesel loosing coolant

Good news. Now you will have a brand new egr cooler. That could fetch a pretty penny on the black market if you decide to delete it. Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

2016 Dodge ram 1500 ecodiesel loosing coolant

If/when mine starts leaking it’s coming off within a week. I live in Louisiana, so no crazy diesel testing for me. I have a 2015, so I’m out of bumper to bumper warranty, so it would be around 2000 to replace it. If you’re within warranty I would let them fix it by replacement, and then...

If it gets below the seam...you likely have a leak somewhere. And my bet would be the EGR cooler. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

2016 Dodge ram 1500 ecodiesel loosing coolant

That’s good news....watch it for the next few days/weeks. It’s my belief that our degas bottles are mismarked. Almost everyone that I’ve talked to including myself has there coolant level settle at the seam in the bottle. Mine will be at the seam when cold, and when the truck is up to normal...

2016 Dodge ram 1500 ecodiesel loosing coolant

EGR cooler leaks are misdiagnosed far too often. I think the easiest way of seeing if it’s leaking is to pull the EGR tube and see if it’s wet with gummy soot. It should look like a dryish black soot powder. Not gummy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Do you add coolant everyday? Is the level below the seam in the degas bottle? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

History says that if your oil cooler fails it will put oil into the cooling system. Not drinking coolant. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It’s likely your EGR Cooler is putting the coolant directly into the intake of your truck. It’s a known weak spot on the modern diesel motors. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    regen

Hey John, I’ve heard that you can do a stationary regen with the alphaobd software, and an MX Bluetooth scanner. I also heard that in their next update you will be able to start a regen while driving. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If you didn’t buy it yet. I wouldn’t buy it until they upgrade their software to support the 17/18’s. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Edge insight CTS2

No probes are needed. All information comes from the obd2 port. The only thing mine doesn’t show is oil pressure. As long as you have a 16 or earlier truck it should work just like mine. They don’t support the 17 or 18’s yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
