OEM wasn’t a viable option as that was at least a month lead time to get in both occasions. And while I agree my original made it a decent lifespan, it was a quicker time to get the FASS system ordered and to my mechanic for installation
Came here to give y’all a heads up. I had to replace my stock fuel pump at 145k miles. Was it the recall? Was it just because I ran the truck that long? Idk but I tried to replace with a Delphi pump. Bad news. It made it 10k miles before it melted/overheated on the connections. Thank Jesus it’s...
As I looked more into it, to spend 3200$ and still be bottlenecked at the stock turbo outlet, idk if it’s really the best option. I was doing some light reading on guys changing out the housing on the stock turbo to get more through it, but I don’t know any specifics on it really. I kinda...
I think at this rate, I’m not worried about resale so much, but trying to get this to last me long enough to just outright buy the next truck I want on the spot.. don’t know how feasible that is, I guess that’s why I wanted this sounding board to bounce ideas off people. I was anxiously hoping...
I’ve always wanted a 3/4 ton cummins but the price hasn’t been conducive to me purchasing one. Maybe this is when I put my foot down and just start only buying used vehicles. I guess I’m just curious of how reliable trucks will be now that there’s no “missing parts” option
Was reading some stuff about GDE’s new EPA compliant tunes and that deleting is basically done and over with now.
I am curious on people’s thoughts feelings opinions, tarot card readings etc, on what they’d do next?
would you buy another Ecodiesel? Upgrade to a larger platform? Switch brands...
I wasn’t sure if you meant a new OBD port tuner came out for the ECO’s that I wasn’t aware of.
I think I’ll call GDE in the morning and see if my Off-road tune from them would suffice, or if I’d be better off getting a new, higher gains tune to do this.
Welcome back to this thread a couple years later everyone! Trucks just been paid off and I remembered that was when I was gonna start seriously considering the compound turbo kit.
now the H&S turbo kit price is 3200$, so a 1100$ drop in price is definitely the right direction. My mechanic said...
Am I missing something that says the 2017 wont get compensated? If so, can you point me to the literature? Thanks bud
Edit: nevermind, I found it now, that it’s only the 2014-2016 models. Well that answers my questions about what to do since mines a 2017 haha
That’s about the determination I came to after some more research. I think that website just copy and pasted the product description. Was wishful for a little bit haha.
