So... Same as we figured. Evidently this is not covered under any warranty. I even have an extended warranty. Now I've spent an extra $100 for diagnostics. It' 2,200 for the tank and about 2,500 total.
This is a design flaw. It should be a recall. There should be an aftermarket...
I'l do the battery tonight. They did say there is a recall that' unfulfilled on a sensor. Doubt it' this one. I'l see what they say. My def is overflowing. I just put more in. The gauge is dropping like crazy though. It would suck to have the truck think I ran out and not start.
Draining the def easy? Dropping the tank simple? I've looked and haven't found much. Sensors easy to access? I heard you have to replace the whole tank.
I have a 2014. 87k. About 3k ago the cel came on. I put two boxes of Dec in and the gauge didn' move. Now I'm getting the message that the engine will not restart in 500 miles. Seems like this is a recurring issue. It should be a recall. I am bringing it to the dealer tomorrow. Sure...
