    Baby's first Regen frustration 😡

Wow... I'm definitely doing something wrong, I barely make 15 but, it is a lot of stuck in traffic nonsense too 🤯

    Baby's first Regen frustration 😡

So after poking around, it appears there is an actual progress update on the display (watched a few people go less than 5 miles and it dropped 10% twice on their displays) ... I guess I will have to get it on the interstate more than 50 before it starts ticking down. 😒

    Is she blown? Vid included

How's your oil pressure looking? I've never heard of it happening on one of these engines yet, but I've had quite a number of flexplates fail on several AMC V8's over the years and they sound like horrific rod knocks right before it goes. Generally that break happens right around the flange...

    Baby's first Regen frustration 😡

I've had my rig now for about 26 months and 9,000 miles - I'm in the neighborhood of about 1155xx miles. Today was the first time since I've taken ownership that I received the "Exhaust System Regeneration in Process Exhaust Filter 80% Full" So, this happened half way on my way to work, which...

Might have found the new mileage king

So... I ran across this guy in my feed this morning. I wonder if he's a poster here. 900,000 km's ... that's higher than my friend's 2018 with 447k miles (700000+ kms). He claims he did a full delete .... at 750,000km's. I wonder what his intake looks like inside.

    Throttle Service Light On

This may sound a little strange, but before I had my TIPM replaced, and found a broken power wire in the harness headed to my lift pump, I received that same error twice with the throttle and how it'd go into limp mode. After the above was checked and replaced, it hasn't come back since. I'm not...

2018 Ram 1500 eco diesel -blown engine

These engines really remind me of a person who knows they have clogged arteries, but will still eat fatty food anyway. It's really strange that you had mains go, but no rods go, and the bores not getting scoured up with all the soot which is what commonly kills these. Since you're already in it...

    Stalling in reverse

O2 sensor code and air temp sensor issue from those codes? Did it belch a little puff of soot before stalling, or stay clean? Could it have flooded to a stall, or leaned to one?

2018 Ram 1500 eco diesel -blown engine

These engines get a really bad reputation - and the longer I own mine, the more I begin to understand the issue. Small displacement diesels are really well known and popular in Europe, but (no) thanks to the EPA here in the US, they didn't allow them or they didn't catch on much. I believe a lot...

2018 Ram 1500 eco diesel -blown engine

The "oil in the metal" seems to fall in line with rod and main bearing failure - something these engines are notorious for thanks to their narrow width bearings, and gasoline-tech emissions systems. There were tons of claims for replacement engines because of this, and a couple oil weight...

I accidentally put Regular gas in the engine!

So... fun little video teardown on what could possibly happen to an engine that had gasoline put into it ... The horror... the horror.

I accidentally put Regular gas in the engine!

Since gas would easily detonate earlier in the stroke, you had to have noticed the pinging noises, the extreme drop in acceleration, possibly the CEL firing off. You honestly drove 150 miles without noticing anything??? The quote they gave you was definitely a full fuel system replacement -...

    2015 3.0 turbo lag

Oh, since we're talking about pedal upgrades for the electronic throttle body - I did a review on a product I received a few weeks back - still running it every day in "Sport +" mode and makes the drive soooo much more enjoyable. This is paired with an SFT Stage 1 Tune.

    2015 3.0 turbo lag

2nd the tune suggestion - that initial delay from a dead stop is actually programmed in. Post tune, it ceases to exist.

What fuel additive do you use

I've yet to try the stage 2 leap since I still have the EGR connected (but turned off via Stage 1 tune), and the Sheep-wee injector (DEF) is still there as well. From what I understand, you can technically run the Stage 2 tune, however that DEF filter may start coking up since the DEF injector...

What fuel additive do you use

If you took your truck in for service and they flashed over your tune, it has been reverted back - if you have your programmer from SFT, you'll want to re-flash your tune, it'll turn off the EGR again which should make the block-off unnecessary. That is of course, if the dealer hasn't found a...

What fuel additive do you use

I run Howes Meaner-Kleaner, 3 ounces per tank (they claim 1 ounce per 10 gallons). It was recommended to me by a friend who has about 700k on an old Dirtymax 3/4 ton. It's cheap enough to run every time I fill up about 8 gallons every weekend to top off. Also, the tune I run shuts off the EGR...

    Shocks with Air Ride Systems?

Way back when I used to build Jeeps of all shapes and sizes, I typically ran Skyjacker or Rancho shocks with pretty good results. Today I feel like my Ram Bouncy-Castle is probably a little wiggly because the shocks are showing their age. I believe I found the right Rancho P/N for the rear ones...

    Acceleration oddity...

So, I've put on a couple thousand miles now since I've got my fuel situation cleared up, tune installed, etc. I've always had this strange acceleration thing though - perhaps some of you experience it as well. In 2wd, sometimes, not all the time, there's a little "slack" for lack of a better...

    Sofa KING

Short answer : Yes - they're still doing tunes. The guy you want to talk to is Frank, who really knows his stuff. I purchased one a few months ago and he was very thorough answering my questions - probably the same ones you'll have. Generally a contact request is answered within a day or two...
