Agree, it doesn't make sense. Here's my copy of VB1 and haven't received any updates. Maybe someone has more current info.
Edit:
Program would not upload the VB!, said file is too large. Sorry.
If you need it, pm me your email and I can send via email

No hoax, my W58 recall was completed in 2021.
The recall clearly states:
"Some 2014-2018 MY Ram 1500 vehicles built with 3.0L Diesel engines may have the magnetic signal material delaminate from the body of the tone wheel.
The suspect period began on June 13, 2014, when 3.0L Diesel engines with...
I understand your dilemma.
There are posts across the forums where owners with failed pumps got them replaced elsewhere or by the owner because the dealer had no parts and Ram Cares explained how to get reimbursed.
That's typical and a large complaint by almost every owner. The cures are either a tune or a pedal booster

#2 Purolator One C25869 or A35462 (higher priced)
#3 Napa Gold (made by Wix)
#4 AC Delco A2943C...

I've had the pre-compliant GDE tune, probably like the one in your 2015. I think it is GDE's best tune but sadly no longer available. GDE claims their new compliant tune is even better and user reports support that claim. Unfortunately, GDE cannot sell that tune in Califunny (where I live.)...
Glad to hear your problems are solved. Hoping your sale goes well.
There's no class action suit because the Eco HPFP failure rate is so low there's no fault. And because there is a recall to replace the HPFP there's nothing to sue about.
One last reminder, it is a Ram, not a Dodge.
