What's the best ecodiesel tune today for "EGR shutoff" but keeping equipment installed?

And I believe SFT is on sale again. SFT is a great tune. Be sure to get their tranny tune as well

Crankshaft positioning sensor and Tone Ring Failure on Eco diesel.

You do your research on the forums, any manufacturer, any forum, and you are sure to find plenty of problems. Think about the hundreds of thousands of no problem, satisfied customers who have never been on a forum so their experiences are never known. So, bottom line, forum research is very...

    Rock and a Hard Place

My comment, "That will give you the software update and the extended warranty" is not correct. W68 replaces the tone wheel, nothing more.

Crankshaft positioning sensor and Tone Ring Failure on Eco diesel.

Hmmm. My guess is because you've neither opted out nor had the V08 completed your VIN doesn't exist for either. You're in a black hole :>) Once you get the V08 I bet you get the W58 notice. By the way, VA7 is the improved version of V08. I waited until VA7 had been out for a while to...

Crankshaft positioning sensor and Tone Ring Failure on Eco diesel.

How can this be.? Are you sure? All Ecos up to March 2018 are involved. It's just a matter of whether or not a person opted out of V08 as to whether you get W58 or W68 recall. Post 152 explains it very well.

Crankshaft positioning sensor and Tone Ring Failure on Eco diesel.

Don't know what "latest recall" you had done. The crankshaft positioning sensor is W58. If your invoice shows that W58 was completed you got it done.

Crankshaft positioning sensor and Tone Ring Failure on Eco diesel.

I agree about Ram Cares. In addition, they have on occasion posted the wrong information and don't correct it unless someone challenges.

Crankshaft positioning sensor and Tone Ring Failure on Eco diesel.

TC, here's what I have been able to ascertain from the Ram Cares posts. W68 is not just a software update it is a parts replacement recall for owners who opted out of the V08/VA7 AEM emissions recall and their trucks did not receive the V08/VA7 updates. It includes 2014-2019 years for Jeep...

The fix for those who opted out is W68. That will give you the software update and the extended warranty

Crankshaft positioning sensor and Tone Ring Failure on Eco diesel.

V68 is for owners who opted out and their trucks that did not get the AEM emissions flash.

Vern, Same as I said on the other forum, you are the record holder, the champ. Congrats!

    DEF Fluid when to add

There's no good formula. It depends on how you drive. If driving low miles don't fill it as DEF has a short active life span. If you are a high mileage or towing driver fill it up. Unless it is under load the Eco does not use much DEF. DEF is used during Passive regeneration. Here's what...

    What's the best Engine Tune

I'm running 100% distilled on my 2016, no codes, no problem. Will go back to a gal per 2 1/2 g of def just in case I need to go to dealer in future.

    What's the best Engine Tune

Stage 1 is for leaving all factory components intact Stage 2 is when you "delete" or remove components such as the EGR, etc

    What's the best Engine Tune

You can run 100% distilled water with SFTs stage 1

    30,000 mile EGR

I'm still confused by you. You said, "Sofa keeps egr active unless you need a tune to remove it." Yes, When you order an SFT tune you must elect to Remove (Turn Off) the EGR or not by checking the "YES" square or by leaving it blank. Then you say, " The egr will function unless completely...

    30,000 mile EGR

Wondering why you say that. I've been tuned for 4 years, did not disconnect or unplugged anything and have had no problems.

How to tell if your ECU has been tuned.

Tunning does not void your warranty. They may not cover a problem caused by the tune and so note your record but they will not void the warranty
