    Its not bearing design or journal size that causing VM 3.0 to fail...it the QC,plus the bottom end assembly. LMBO the few thou they added Won't correct or change the failure ratio....You are either going to have Hero or Zero Rotating assembly.

    Your SOL...and to add your second motor has the same risk for rotating mass failure. You simply increase your rate of failure buy your DD use. You now join the 10K+ 3.0 failures related to Rotating mass QC.

    Kgmaine, CR reports LMBO ,I counted 2 lies in your link....... Details My *&^(. Plus most VM3.0 owners have no Idea what CP4 ,CP3, CP1 ,CP6 etc. IMO the CP4 is at the bottom of VM 3.0 failures.

    Kgmaine, Why the recall is happening on Cummins Ram 6.7 is not documented to know failures....It simply may be related to Cummins Spec's, unlike VM when over 1000+ engines were failing monthly in mid 2016. VM just kept production levels unchanged.

    This is clearly overstated........don't ever compared the VM3.0 problems to Cummins. Nothing blows apart in the fuel tank of either vehicle. I have CP4s with 500+K miles....Yes I don't care for the CP4, but I'm not going to apply C19 propaganda to CP4s problems.

    In many cases it will eventually trigger some type of code relating rationale, you may be able to delete the code, but its only time before its triggered again, how many times before it starts the countdown to derated power I don't know.

    The 5.0 is just to Big for 1500, Also it was V8, 4.3L can be inline 6 and still fit in Ram current engine compartment.

    See My point, if the 3.0VM stops production it will get even more ugly for 3.0VM owners. Simply stated, it requires new Power plant like 4.3L that will work in light 2500 and 1500 Models. My stand on 2500 the 6.7 Cummins is just too Big for 2500 the Cost vs Mileage just does not pencil.
