I like what the GDE tune accomplishes and believe it is a useful addition to keep these trucks running smooth for the average driver. However, I do not believe this statement is correct. I’ve read there are tell tale signs that can be seen from the laptop used by the techs, as well as the lower...
I have 70k on my ‘15 now and have heard this since new. Just assumed it’s normal and part of the AC system OR maybe the grill shutters in front closing after engine is turned off. Who knows, but I don’t believe it’s an issue.

Forgot to mention recommended modifications- 1) tune of your choice to disable the EGR and quiet the nonsensical sensors among other benefits; 2) Bilstein 5100s to level out the front end (assuming no air ride); 3) AMP power running boards.
#1 is a must in my opinion. #2 & #3 are just for...
Bought mine new in ‘15, 68k flawless miles to date. Been a good truck so far. Very well balanced; excels at mileage and comfort, and does everything else fairly well to boot.
I’m not the type to brand a vehicle ‘best ever’ or profuse my love for it, so I won’t go there. But I’m confident I...
It’s been said the highest ring could cause problems with the OEM upper control arms and their balljoints. Although I cannot attest to that as I’ve only run the setting I’m on.
My reasoning was I wanted to maintain the slightest rake to allow loading the bed without the truck riding nose high...
I used the second ring from the top, whatever that number is.... I want to say 1.7 or 1.9 ??? Personally I wouldn’t go any higher.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but if you’re doing an EGR delete, isn’t the cooler pointless? So in other words leave the PITA torx bolt in and just cut the bracket that holds the cooler itself....

69,000 miles and not a hiccup.
Traction control may have prevented an accident this am. Lots of 4 lane construction in my area right now, couple that with the torrential rain we are receiving, it creates hidden hazards, mainly ponding in areas it should not. I hit an off ramp and dove into a...
I’m with TC on this one. Had I not bought a new EcoD in ‘15, I would be in the market for the GM. It’s going to be the best all around of the halfton diesel offerings IMO.

I understand about the disposal. It is a pain. But a solution may be storing the old oil in a 55 gallon drum and recycling it when full. That’s what I do. As far as oil changes themselves, this truck is by far the cleanest I’ve ever done. Not a drop spilled considering the filter cartridge...
I saw the message listed as 700 miles to no restart couple weeks ago. I intentionally let it run down just to see if I’d get a message. Now that I did, added 4 gallons of distilled water and I’m good to go.

It pains me to start up the truck just to have to turn it off to enable a regen. I wish the folks at Edge could’ve figured a way around that.

There are no ideas really. If they want to dig and find out you’ve altered the ECM, they can. They can also deny warranty because of it. But they better be able to prove the GDE tuned ECM caused the failure in a courtroom, which I’m not sure would be the case. Just hope it doesn’t get to that...
Who uses ladder racks and what brand do you have? Likes or dislikes? I will be using mainly for kayak transport, but also when the need arises to haul home extended length lumber.
