TRUCK UPDATE
Talked to body shop. They are replacing the cab roof, headliner, and all pillars for the cab. They will be repairing the hood, doors, bed, and possibly a new tonneau cover if they find the tracks bent. I’d love to know what they are getting for all that through insurance. I love...
I have towed 5 tons of bobcat (skid steer) and trailer with no issues. I found manual shift mode made it much happier starting and slowing. It tows my 2ton boat and 1.5 ton trailer with zero issues. Make sure you have trailer brakes though. I wouldn’t pull that much without them.
If you pull the def injector and clean it that should solve issue. TCDIESEL will be able to walk you the process I believe it’s on another thread somewhere but I believe it’s pretty straight forward
If it runs fine and it did it for a brief second I don’t think lower mass failure is the culprit lol could have been bump stop bumping, cv axle clunking, something in the bed, tire picked up a rock, etc
CLAIM UPDATE
Body shop told me at drop off I’ll most likely be receiving a new roof and pillars on the cab and be without my truck for a while. They said there should be no reason for it to be at a dealer so we shall see. On another note, it’s given me a huge need for a truck, so I decided to...
I would take it to a dealership immediately. If you continue to drive the truck you may have complete engine failure. Contact your nearest dealer and explain what is going on to them. Have you had the egr recall done?
