...with this truck. With out getting into all the other issues, currently my truck will not start.
I’m getting the “Service Electronic ThrottleControl” on the display and it is throwing a code “P0090” but no CEL. It comes back as soon as I clear it. I’ve researched both, but have not come to a...

I have a 2014 Jeep Cherokee Eoc Diesel and have the same message "Service Electronic ThrottleControl" and also loosing coolant within the engine somehow. Curious did replacing the EGR Valve and EGR Cooler solve the problem? And if so, for how long did it last?
I have a 2017 EcoDiesel ram. Had the egr recall and 2 days later truck says “exhaust filter 100% full and service throttlecontrol”. Took it back to dealer they performed a Regen then they took it for a test drive. According to them, it was running great and then just died. Dealer towed it...
...eco diesel and had the egr cooler replaced under the recall. Less than 2 weeks later, lights come on saying exhaust filter is 100% full and service electronic throttlecontrol. I’m thinking I should not have to pay for this service? If they want me to, what would a normal cost be? Thanks kris
...a 2016 Ecodiesel 5 weeks ago. has performed flawlessly until this morning. my drive into work(about 7 min) the Service Electronic ThrottleControl warning showed up went into limp mode and engine service light came on. It sat for about 5 hours and went out to lunch drove back home took a...
...and capable of putting the Truck into Stationary De-soot, The message sometime combine with the 100% Full is service electronic throttlecontrol, that will require WITECH, but with the DPF de-Sooted you can still drive With the Messag. ALFA would have alllowed you to continue on after the...
...me the tuner, says that when I take it in to have codes read to tell them not to flash it because it has been tuned. Still no luck with the Service Electronic ThrottleControl. Wondering that since all the stuff has been deleted, could it be the accelerator pedal or probably not? Thanks again!
Edge makes a monitor, you can view your trucks various statuses and levels. That is not a tune, simply a more complicated set of gauges that allow you to only SEE when your truck regens, and soot level of exhaust and so on. You can also get a cheap Bluetooth obd scanner and they have various...
...home and liked the drive. Sunday morning I got up to drive it to the airport as I travel for work and I got the Service Electronic ThrottleControl message. Really never saw this when I was reviewing the truck till I looked on this site. The truck has EGR and DEF Delete already so was...
I finally got rid of my ethrottle issue... cost me a princes ransom. Had to machine the heads to extract the glow plugs, new accelerator pedal, throttle body, injectors, coolant/oil sensors and associated gaskets. Going on 3 months with no codes/limps 🤷🏻♂️
So I’m six hours away from home working on a job site and all of a sudden I get this message on my dashboard so I take it to the local Dodge dealership here in Odessa and three days later they call me and tell me they want $6000 to fix the truck, The salesman added the most expensive warranty...
Still up for sale. And yes, you're correct. The new EPA compliant tune can not touch the EGR system. Don't waste your money... If you want to prolong the life of your ecodiesel, need to shutoff that EGR asap.
rogedmonds, You certainly have something to be concerned about.
From what I've read over the various forums it seems that Ecodiesels been dependable after the current recall, mine for sure is. The first AEM recall flash was not good and it was corrected in early January. The dealer should...
...lag is dangerously bad. I'm not exactly sure what they're doing this time but I had 1.Check engine light, 2. Service electronic throttlecontrol. 3. Turbo boost pressure low. 4. Exhaust gas temperature too low. They said this time they have to completely remove the cab of the truck to fix...
...had my intake pipe come off from the turbo inlet. 2 codes triggered (P02c and P0402) in addition to the dreaded "Service Electric ThrottleControl" warning, and the truck went into limp mode. I reconnected the pipe, cleared the codes, and all is now well.
So in your case, I would make sure...
