...tuned,with the same issue. Tried all the suggested repairs. Still had the same problem. So this time I did what the dash was telling me the problem was Service Electronic Throttle. I replaced the Throttle Throttle peddle in the cab. So far problem has been solved. Here is hoping 🙏 that did it.

Oh, since we're talking about pedal upgrades for the electronic throttle body - I did a review on a product I received a few weeks back - still running it every day in "Sport +" mode and makes the drive soooo much more enjoyable. This is paired with an SFT Stage 1 Tune.

So I have a 2016 ecodiesel showing a p0402 code and a “service electronic throttle control” message I have replaced the egr cooler and valve, cleaned the egr diffuser, and replaced the map sensor. Any ideas what else could be causing these codes?

Wiring harness from the ecm down, corroded plugs and connections.

You need to pull the codes, otherwise it's all a guessing game. The codes will tell you what's going on.

2018 Ram Ecodiesel 54,000 miles, engine blew up. Ram put in new engine gave 2 year warranty. 3.5 years and 73,000 more miles. The truck shut down, no notice, Low Oil Pressure. I checked the oil it was fine. I started the truck up, drove 1 mile, it quit again, said Electronic Throttle Control.

My 2015 had most of those issues as well. It ended up being corroded wires starting at the ecm and subsequent plugs thereafter. They charged me $1200 to replace four plugs and clean up the wires. Lasted almost a year and now another service def error communication error which will be more bad...

I ran out of diesel once and the throttle opened up more than it should and send the code as well. My friend connected a scanner and cleared the code. No parts or disassemble at all.
