I mean, did it start RIGHT after tuning? If so, perhaps something is off there.. otherwise, hard parts for sure. I would doublecheck fitment on all the boots.
Yes buy it. The emissions warranty doesn't cover crank bearings from what I read. I could be wrong. But my truck is awaiting to be diagnosed and I think it is crank bearings its a 2015 Outdoorsman 90,000 miles. I am trying to decide if I should keep it and wait a few years for a after market...
Update. Back on the road! To no surprise the tone ring was the issue. Bought the replacement for $25 and had a shop do the work for a fair price. Onto tuning next! 😁
...the emissions warranty extended but I am debating on purchasing a extended warranty for 5year/75k miles to cover any issues mainly the engine due to the number of engines I am seeing blow. My question is what do you all think spend 2k on the warranty or Tuning / deleting as is. Thanks in advance
...So I limp moded home and checked the codes and they were the same. I'm a bit confused at this point as these codes relate to the sensors that no longer are in use. My DPF and catalytic pipe are deleted making them redundant. I'm hoping it's just a tuning thing but any input would be appreciated.
No need to react that way, stick around as you are welcomed.
If I misunderstood your LOL, you have my apology. I may be old but not grumpy, just a bit sensitive about certain things.
Just recently I was chastised for naming tuners, etc. on a forum while trying to help another member and...
...for the LOL.
Always seems like a dead end.
No one ever has any answers.
So I'm just left flapping in the breeze.
You're right. I am new to "tuning."
But I can take apart just about anything and put it back together.
I guess I should have just asked more basic questions about tuning.
About...
...are new to this site and maybe to the subject at hand. If you do some research you'll find it's not a laughing matter. Companies that did tuning were shut down and heavily fined by the EPA. The EPA says that even changing tire size affects emissions and is thereby illegal. If the EPA had...
...to easily flash to stock for dealer visits? If you didn't get the GDE tuner with the truck have you contacted GDE to get registered with them and get a tuner? GDE keeps track of all their tuning by VIN Number. Seems that would be a lot better than the expense and hassle of using a second ECM.
You need to pull it at the same time as tuning.. that's the whole point.. as it's usually stopped up or will be very soon.. especially if it's NOT regenerating.
Can anybody tell me once you get rid of the deaf? Is it okay just to leave your stock exhaust on there until you get different exhaust? Or do you have to change the exhaust right away with the exhaust filter being there? Does that exhaust filter need pulled out right away after you've tuned your...
Just did mine a couple days ago. Bought it from Ecodiesels of Canada. It’s a package stage 2 and trans tune from MRTuning and hard parts from T&S Speed shop.
Basic instructions for the tuning part came by email weren’t too hard to get through even as a tuner virgin (all my other tuning involved...
...but I love this truck. I got the Green Diesel Engeering Hot Tune and Transmission Tune. These are phenomenal products that make the truck's tuning what RAM should have made it from the start. Torque throughout the power band. My continued compliant is cooling during towing in summer up long...
I wasn't aware of the SCR's ammonia production, or its killing freeway vegetation. You've enlightened me.
Your theory may be better at maintaining or maybe reducing emissions than what's hung on the truck. It definitely will improve performance. The problem is the EPA doesn't care that it...
...into all the other stuff going on, I don't think it would be easy to tune around that setup, so for now it stays off. Maybe once I get my own tuning gear, I'll look at it.
3. I am going to install a magnaflow diesel catalytic converter in place of the DPF filter. You need to keep this cat...
