...address: 1) better heat management (shedding) for dealing with loads on hot summer days in the mountains. 2) a better transmission and engine tuning (like Green Diesel's Hot Tune and Transmission Tune, Got 'em, there phenomenal!) But overall, this is my favorite truck and I hope it keeps...
It won't even know that bass boat is back there. It will like 35 miles each way, gets up to regen temps and enough miles to complete.
I'm averaging 3883 miles a year, should last forever.
Mine will be used for pulling my 19' bass boat, minimum 35 miles one way. I would use it every now and again but honestly I may not hit 3000-5000 miles a year in use. Thank you for your review too, I plan on tuning what ever I buy.
...your rig may differ depending on what gears it has, mine has 3.92. If you live in an area that doesn't emissions test I would also recommend tuning it, either stage one or stage two, it will solve a few problems that come with the ECO in stock emissions form. Tunes that shut down the EGR are...
Welcome Bchurch, a tune will definitely help mileage. I averaged closer to 25 before tuning even when being easy on the pedal. I think the tune is definitely worth the time and money if you are in a state that you can do it. Here’s my mileage for the last month or so. Took this pic yesterday...
I've made this comment before, and would love to know peoples thoughts on it. The GDE tune is easily reversible and will return your truck to factory condition. The dealer will not be able to tell you run a tune thus not voiding a warranty. Sorta sleazy if that's true but then again so are giant...
I just came across your post. What was the outcome or has there been one yet of your dealing with FCA? I have a '14 Grand Cherokee eco-diesel that my motor blew this past Christmas Eve - Merry Xmas! I had higher mileage, 133K miles, and the main bearing and piston rod bearings went on it. I...
Welcome to the forum.
I am a fan of tuning but not of deleting, so I'm no help there. Do some searching, there's lots of info.
I do the fishing and logging road thing every year in eastern Oregon with my brothers. Used to elk hunt, now it's camera shooting and trout fishing.
...miles without replacement in any 3.0VM .... I also aware some 300K miles OEM 3.0VM exists, NONE Have Virgin AECD and GDE pre/hot emission tuning. Most have $1000s in repair costs.
On Edit.... The 3.0VM does ok in HWY/CITY 90/10 use the DD owner will NEVER see 200K COC without $1000s in...
That's true. Every EcoDiesel with 350,000+ miles have been tuned. There have been two individuals who claim they went 300,000 on stock tuning.

VernDiesel - 371,000 miles (engine only)
400,000 Mile Club
VernDiesel - 423,000 miles (engine only)

...machine shop that said they would make my pistons and crank out of billet. Pricey but worth it in the end. Yes i use Ecodiesel USA custom tuning with a 5 position switch. Love the tunes and works well with my goals. 30mpg hand calculated with leveling kit and oversized rims and tires. Pistons...
truck is tuned with a delete now... also have straight piped and a banks intake installed.. For this reason, If I ever replace the "tuning" it will be with one I have control over options with an interface like most of the other diesels have been using for years.
If I did a lot of highway...
Keith, knows what he's doing when it comes to tuning the 3.0 Thats for Sure and certain. H60, I support the additional HP drivability that honorable tuning provides....The MPG over time yields very little MPG and will not cover the Additional $$$ investment. The ZF-HP has proven to be robust and...
The new 2020 engine uses a different material for the crank, it uses lighter rods and pistons, and the displacement is changes by a small fraction. The issue with the bottoms ends was a combination of a few things. 1 - bad crank material/casting 2 - tuning that caused the engines to lug
GDE no longer does the type of tuning that you need done, but I do and a few other companies. I highly recommend you check out the forums for quality info and the youtube reviews for all of the companies, careful with facebook and other places of gossip.
