I love my truck so far and am researching deleting some things to help with longevity and possibly mpg. Or maybe tuning is the way to go. I don’t know. My truck is stock with 40k on it . Any advice?

Oh.. I didn't know you were missing emission components.. so that would be correct.

Spoke with Banks, they don't have any way of tuning emissions control out of the truck. Have do use a different tuner

You would need to check with GDE. The tune restricts the need to recirculate exhaust Gases back to EGR/Plenum. GDE uses in head EGR tuning to lower NOx to EPA tier 3 Levels.

It's hard to tell sometimes. Sometimes you get lucky and the tuner will put a sticker on the ECM. Also, perhaps someone will chine in here with tuning that can hopefully shed some light on those characteristics can lead you down the right path..

Yikes. That's a bummer on it already. Welcome to the forum. Great peeps and great info here. The fuel pump.... Do you let it get under a ¼ tank? I've heard this is really hard on the pumps in these trucks. Tuning is a great option to alleviate some of the "unknown" that could be coming.

Hello and welcome! I picked up my 2016 last year, so far so good. I would recommend tuning it. I used GDE. 60k on it so far.

Not sure how you can change the gear ratio in the ECU with Alpha old I don't think it's possible. I am running one with 3.55 ratio in the ECU (tuned) and the truck has 3.92 gears and it works well no problems with the cruise or tow/haul mode.

I just sold the ecodiesel last week was running this gde hot tune flawlessly till then.

...later? Members If you own the 3.0VM you need to consider this, Its Pre AEM and and not available today. I understand this is ECM with Pre AEM tuning, Just Buy Alfa/MX and program VIN and Gear-R. Just use caution when removing /installing read up on the ALFA and done, Warranty is a NON-issue...
