I don't think so. It is only on gentle or moderate acceleration, though it happened at start up a few days ago. I'm wondering if it is a bearing issue. I'm thinking I'm hearing metal on metal when rpm drops, like it is an oil pressure issue? Doesn't happen when I accelerate hard.
I have a 2018 with 45K miles. I've been running the GDE tune since 10K and swapped to the compliant one when it came out. For a while now, didn't really note when it started, I'll hear a sound on upshifts. It isn't consistent. It sounds like rough bearings and sometimes like a squeaky slipping...
I'm getting about 400 miles average between regen messages and was wondering what others were seeing? I'm rarely doing any hauling, mostly highway driving.
I've only had my Ram 2 years but I wonder has it always been like this? I'm guessing having the biggest sales year ever and then supply chain issues due to COVID might be part of the problem?
Stepped in the truck tonight to notice that the screen appears to delaminating at the upper left hand corner. Literally just went over 36k tonight as well on this trip that I saw this.
I have a 2018 with 35.5k miles. I had put 33k of those miles on in the first 18 months prior to COVID. I just had the EGR recall done. Had to have a glow plug replaced under warranty but otherwise I've been very happy with it. Prior to COVID I had a 100 mile round trip commute 3 days per week...
They provide a tool to flash the ECM/TCM. I flashed the stock programming and when I got it back I put the GDE programming back on. They include instructions.
I finally got the EGR recall done. No noticeable difference in the rig afterwards. I immediately put the GDE tune back on, hard to drive without it. I'll report any adverse issues.
Order the kit from https://hddieselsupply.ca/c-1334979-dodge-cummins-eco-diesel-eco-diesel-dodge-ram-1500-3-0l-2014-2019.html
I'm mulling doing a full delete, especially since we are considering buying a trailer.
34K miles and this is what my coolant level looks like. EGR on backorder for 90 days now. Maybe time to join a class action? Why harass me with emails about needing a recall FCA if I try to get the recall done and you don’t provide the part?
I'm receiving my GDE update package today so a little sad I have to wait to apply it. I'm wondering if I'll notice any difference in performance from the orginal.
It is going in for the EGR recall tomorrow, getting the glow plug situation looked at as well. 33.5k miles over 21 months. Most of that was put on in the first 18 months since I haven't been doing much driving the last 3 months.
