    Engine Block Heater

I keep my truck plugged in all of the time and never noticed a difference in electric usage that I can attribute solely to the truck. It's ok. And when it's single digits if my block heater can keep my coolant at ~60 degrees which is also ran through my DEF tank it's got to be keeping it from...

    Reported problems on the EcoDiesel

Mine has come up black or super dark and grainy a time or two but that's all the problems I've ever had

    Alliant power oil cooler

But I've seen early 90s 2.2L I-4 s10s with fresh rebuilds have damn near pegged oil needles all the time. A family member has a 98 3/4 ton 454 that still runs at 60 when it's at operating temp and driving normal. And I've seen the same on the 350s for many many other old Chevs. I guess I'm not...

I guess I did. I had parts shipped to my door before I ever took delivery and had the truck home. Crazy

    Alliant power oil cooler

80 during driving rpms isn't that high. All old gm trucks anywhere from I4's to v8's small blocks and big blocks see those oil pressures especially when cold. I guess I've never noticed near 80s on my truck but it could've been overlooked

ABS Light with Remote Start, Cruise doesn't work

He means the wheel speed sensor for ABS/ESC/TC not referencing it as the actual speedometer sensor

    Alliant power oil cooler

Haha my commute is almost exactly the same and in the north western plains of Minnesota my truck idles as much as Shawn's does warming up etc. And 1 mile commute by air driving is about the same as your ~1.2m So I understand what you mean about driving styles not being nice to it. But I just...

ABS Light with Remote Start, Cruise doesn't work

But you're right in that situation a dealer should be more than sure especially during R&I when they find damage so who knows really without the physical hands on and in your face diagnosis

ABS Light with Remote Start, Cruise doesn't work

That's why I referenced a possible damaged wiring section or similar in the beginning. I understand there's a lot more preventative measures towards water resistance on wiring but there's still things that could happen; i.e. over torquing the wheel sensor or misaligned sensor during the...

    Alliant power oil cooler

I'm getting awful close to 20k myself so we'll see the fate of my truck very soon. But thus far I've had no issues regarding my own oil cooler

ABS Light with Remote Start, Cruise doesn't work

I don't know about that being a complete failure. I'd think if ABS light came on it'd be wayyy too late. And he seemed to have a reoccurring issue whenever moisture was present. But we haven't gotten an update so who knows..?

    Buyback used trucks

Yeah but that is what 5-10% at resale when it's a $20k value? But it was a $60k truck? That's still a 100k mile 60% depreciation to hold an extra 5 or 10 percent. Vs a $40-45k Big Horn or SLT that depreciates the same but it's a $20k loss to depreciation vs a $40k loss. Minus the 5-10%...

    Buyback used trucks

This is true because the Laramie and higher end submodels of the vehicle experience heavy depreciation as a luxury vehicle just as all high end luxury vehicles do, and you're left with the bare bones value of a basic truck with "XX,XXX" amount of miles. Look at depreciation on Mercedes and...

    Anyone change their own oil?

I didn't make too much of a mess with my first change but I got a bad seal on my original valve and had to switch it. But boy did that valve make draining all the oil (quart by quart into the original clean containers) make life easier when I had to re do my oil change.
