your truck will regen about 2-3 x per week with a stock tune on it's own behind the scenes, but with short drives, what's happening is that it takes about 5-10 min just to heat the DPF up to temps for the regen to actually start, then another 7-10 min for a regen to complete the cycle, and if...

depends which province, ontario scrapped the emmissions programme in april 2019, but who knows what's coming down the pipes... other provinces may have different rules..
I would stop driving, if youre egr cooler is leaking, you're getting coolant in your intakes through the EGR and the truck is geting all sooted up with tar. Pull off your EGR diffuser tube (look that up on youtube, there's a great video) and check your MAP sensor, both interrelated to the...
Don't quote me on this, but couldn't a carbon'd up MAP sensor (plugged up) throw the code also?? When's the last time you pulled the MAP and cleaned it?
A lot of the tuners may not admit in writing to shutting off egr as it's illegal in so many states, and they don't always know / trust who they're emailing... I know when I first approached GDE, I could never get a straight answer via email about if they shut off EGR or not. I don't think they...
I also have GDE, like Ram For Life said, one of the reasons I went to GDE was reputation and years on the market. GDE has been around quite a long time, and when I did my homework on the different tunes, I have a difficult time finding any complaints about GDE. I got it for a few reasons.

then watch the video, pull the air box out of the way and clean it out.
The trucks are very well known to have engine fires. Still trying to figure out the root cause, but a lot are saying the EGR valve gets stuck in the open position, can overheats the intake, then boom...
Might be worth...
are you tuned or stock ECU? If you're stock, sounds like it could be a choked up MAP sensor covered in soot from the EGR diffuser. Do you know how to pull out the map sensor? It's not hard, I'd remove it and clean all the shit off of it. That is known to cause throttle control errors. esp...
no problemo Frank! It's a huge learning curve for everyone, and the more we help each other out, the more we can learn from each other and hopefully keep our trucks running for a long time!! Keep us posted.
try a couple of time with torque pro, I think you have to have the key in the run position (but no engine running), clear faults, then shut key off, and try again. took me a few times to clear a code with torque
That's not true, you can get SFT in Cali, one of our members, John Jensen has it and I believe he lives there. I believe you can plug it into OBDII when you need it, and remove the tune if you visit the dealer. Maybe he can chime in.
The nice thing now, is there is a LOT of information out there about these trucks, so if we take the time to read other's problems and solutions, there's a lot of helpful stuff out that that will help you make that 300,000 mile mark! Best of luck, I hope I can do the same.
that's amazing!! If you're not hard on the throttle, these trucks are quite amazing!
I learned how to slowly coast toward a red light and time it just right so that I am able to come to a slow roll instead of completely stop. Helps milage when you take off from a roll to still have the...
