For years the VM 3.0 use in all Ram Diesel have been plague with issue. The most problematic is the EGR. The OEM operating system is ONE of the most dirty Tune I've ever seen, It don't take long before the plenum is soot-up causing all sorts of problems and codes that seem in some cases...

YES for the VM 3.0....other DSL's NO. but you can surely buy a Tune that greatly reduces Soot intake, get GDE info on soot intake.

Whatever the warranty Time/Mileage sell it just before the warranty expires ? and get the GDE tune and a steady diet of OA trends. and maybe it's worth keeping.

It's European design...That say's it all...You should have done research BEFORE purchase...You had 8 Years of all the short comings of VM 3.0.

it's this simple, ALL VM 3.0s are Hero's or Zero's...NONE of your aftermarket products will Change QC and Cento Italy... I don't like AECDs either but it's the maker responsibility to conform so that each vehicle is COC...The money You have invested to no NON-conform will never be paid back...

If its knock, it will be silent, after it explodes.... Still OP you need to remove the FCAs on both pumps and check for Debris ASAP.....

Remove the FCA on the CP4 and see if the FCA screen is plugged with debris!

Check all in connection in the engine compartment and the One's under the dash. Dia-electric every connection.
