I was wondering if the cummins have the exact regen requirements as the ED? Does the cumming have to be driving highway speeds to start a regen and complete a regen process? I found a pretty good deal on a 2020 model.

Don there is no clear fix. Just slow down, take your time. Let it cool if comes down to it. I tow a fair amount of weight with mine. I have never seen oil temps over 242. I use crankcase flush just before each oil change to clean out the oil heat exchanger/cooler and turbo lines. Also run 5w40...
