Has SFT or any other tune materially improved the particulate filter/regen problems. When I pull a trailer the vehicle goes into regen as often as every 40 miles. A real problem to get the "drive at highway speed" when you are several miles up a dirt road camping.
I had this done. Doesn't appear to make anything better, or worse. The only thing that helps my regen problems when pulling a trailer is making sure that I allow the regen process to finish every time. I use a Blue Driver to watch and manage the process. Last time I pulled the trailer...
Found out today from the paralegal at Lieff, Cabraser, Heimann & Bernstein (the lawyers who handled the class action) that a new recall was issued on July 29th dealing with the ECM control of the DPF. Supposedly helps the regen and limp mode problem. So, my Grand Cherokee has appointment with...
Thanks. I am monitoring the same with the Blue Driver when pulling my travel trailer. Hopefully it will allow me to avoid the dreaded limp mode when camping.
The unit disconnects randomly. To get it working again I have to reboot the iphone and then re-enter the parameters I want to monitor. For me, its all about continuously monitoring the DPF when pulling a travel trailer. I'm trying to make sure I don't get into a limp mode situation far from home.
I have a 2015 Grand Cherokee ecodiesel. Its been thru the original EPA recall and the updated recall. Neither worked for my purposes. Turbo lag, at least while pulling a trailer is worse. Regens are now more frequent, and for some weird reason it goes into "the drive at highway speeds" regen...
Thanks. BlueDriver is an OBD reader with its own app. I figured out on a recent trip to Seattle towing an airstream which parameters would be helpful. The BlueDriver has some faults. The product rep told me I need to upgrade the software. Hopefully that will help.
Just purchased a BlueDriver to try and stay ahead of DPF problems. Suggestions for which gauges to monitor? And what readings would be problematic. Also, the Diesel Aftertreatment Status messages are almost impossible to read when driving.
Most of the mileage is highway. It never causes problems then. The problems arise when I pull my travel trailer. I suspect due to pushing alot more exhaust thru a fragile system. I have had a 100% once, and was able to drive it 30 miles to the dealer. The scary part is it gave me no...
I have a problematic 2015 ecodiesel Grand Cherokee. Been thru both recalls. Trying to figure out the best way to keep from getting stranded by 100% dpf fill. Looked at the direction for the AlphaOBD, seems complicated. Cetene boosters worth a shot? DPF fuel additives? Been thru one limp...
