I’m not claiming to be an expert on oil but Duh the recommended oil is 5W 40 and I believe once the engine is warmed up the 40 is what matters.
So how is 15W 20 thicker except at startup which is when you need it thin for quick lubrication
I've been running diesels on my farm f over 40 years and even with the older engines quality clean fuel was always a priority. Even now in my Ram I run premium fuel which costs ten cents per gallon more but isn’t much when you’re paying $3 to $4 per gallon. I can’t believe anyone would be cheap...
Thanks for your info. I’ve been running diesels on the farm since I was 15 (a long time) and know water is bad in fuel. Got the locking caps from Geno’s and they are very well made.
