When everything was all final said and done, I came out with a wreck truck a loan payment still and no money to buy another truck or fix the one I got. That’s what I get for following the rules paying my loan on time paying my insurance on time taking care of things I get the shaft.
My engine is got 105k miles. It runs great. Def system in deleted( looks like it’s there ) no regeneration ever. Regular oil changes and tire rotation.
What got me the most was when the insurance wanted to give me $200.00 for my brand new, less than 30 days old, $900+ tires. I bitched and they...
Absolutely, but they did not get my truck. I drove it home from the body shop, shattered windshield, I just pushed the glass to the side and drove slow. I live about 6 miles from where it was. Insurance adjuster was not real happy with my decision. But I am happy with it.
If I let the insurance company take it, they will sell it to a salvage auction for the 5400. Highest bidder buys the truck from auction, they can fix it or part it out.
So I am thinking that instead of everyone else making money off my truck, I will keep it and make the money to buy another truck.
My black beauty had some codes the first year I bought her(6-7 years ago) I had the def removed and she had been a dream ever since. Not a single problem. Engine runs strong along with everything else. Not a single problem up until a couple day ago.
A deer decided to jump through my windshield...
I hit a deer with my truck a couple days ago. Insurance has deemed it a total loss with a salvage amount of a little over 5k.
I know there are people out there that need new motors.
my truck run great, is not leaking any fluids, has had the def system deleted ( looks like it is still there)...
