I now have "cleanedup" a gen 3. 8K mile engine.... Banks intake, 3" EOC exhaust clean from turbo to 3"glasspack..Eoc stage 2/tranny tune CPX pump with revised pinned pistons and rerouted return flow. Running in a 4x4 2014 lonestar.. No codes, plenty of sane power..seems about 22-24 mpg.no...
There is a lot of good info on this site...Ask detailed questions and you will get a lot of valuable advice from a # of qualified people..Give milage, and details on the problems..

Was talking about CP4 pump issues not engine oil. GDE has a great detailed writeup on CP4 and why it has issues. My comments were on CP4X modified unit..
cp4x pump in hand.. reroutes flow from bottom end back to tank NOT into rails, plus pins buckets so they cannot rotate..
Still in my mind better to add lube to fuel to help rollers. BUT I think this will solve the cp4 problem. I know it is one issue off the list..

RCD is selling a modified CP4 ..I just bought one, it looks like a good option to those like me who are looking to bulletproof the eco.
I cannopt use a dealer as my gen 3 swap into a gen 2 chassis would mark me as a bad actor...
Sooooo the CPX replacement looks likle my best bet.
Welcome..there is a lot of knowledge on this site..You can learn a lot by asking questions BEFORE running to a dealer who in many cases knows a lot less than the people here.

Only time I have seen that problem on mine a 2020 engine in a 2014 truck-tuned-totally deleted-including swirl valves, is when the cold air line blows off..ie low inlet pressure..Could you have a bad or dirty map sensor? or low turbo boost?
Bought an amazon set appx 400, will advise outcome..Also building frp housings for dual projectors for uinder offroad bumper placement.. these cost about 300 for 4 units 2 are 2.5, 2 are 3,0. Will also advise outcome when done.
