Just did mine. 400 mile trip, pouring rain and high winds. 29.4mpg using fuelly. Pull much better, holds 8th a lot better, only one regen. Sounds good. This is on winter fuel as well. Update after return trip.
I searched, didn't come up with anything. Anyone put LED tails in? Other than OEM? A pair of OEMs will run you close to $500, have searched craigslist and eBay. There are a few OEM looking ones out there, just not sure how they hold up or if they will throw codes. Looking at a brighter...
Something is up for you to have that bad of MPGs. I commute in the DC area traffic and using fuelly for all my fill-ups I am averaging just over 24mpg. When the traffic isn't as bad my commute for the week averages mid to high 26s. I run 2-3 MPH over the speed limit when I can. On my trip to...
I changed yesterday, Rotella T6 5w40 and aFe filter. Got four of them on a group buy awhile ago. Looked identical, same number of pleats and clicked right in. Oil pressure is great and no issues so far. Also added a Fumoto valve.
I use the truck stop pumps with my 3500 and Peak in my 1500. No issues with either and I go through a lot in my 3500. The big rigs pump a lot of it, so it is always fresh. One word of advice with Walmart, make sure the the jugs are sealed. I had two jugs from two different stores that were...
Hope it is simple. My 16 month old 2015 3500 wouldn't start. Bad passenger battery. Apparently a lot of people are saying the newer trucks eat batteries, or cheap Chinese batteries. Failsafe on these trucks, under voltage they won't do anything. I wasn't even getting a click.
It all depends on what you want out of it. I have the Nav and most of the bells and whistles. I use Uconnect from my phone to send the address to the Nav in the truck, it is ready when I get in. The traffic is sometimes good, sometimes not. I like Waze better for navigation.
I ordered the Geno's tool for removal and the brass plug replacement for it. Hoping that will help out. It shouldn't be half as bad at the 6.4 Ford was. I got drenched and so did my driveway every change. I have been seeing that some people are getting a Fumoto(Oil Change) quick release to...
I am going to put my 3' Firestik in a stake mount with the heavy duty spring, running the coax down inside the stake pocket and up through the front of the floor storage pocket. I have the coax run this way on my 3500 and haven't had any issues with it, plus it drops the coax right under the...
I agree, but look at what they charge. I have seen upwards of $1200 for the 50k service. Even with coupons or discounts, you are still looking at around $700.
Thrilled so far. We do a 2.5 hour trip to our camper almost every weekend. The trip is a mix of highway, rural roads and small towns. My average has been running a little over 28 tracking with fuelly. I've got small car mileage with a good size truck. Loving my truck.
Still trying to decide. 54mpg is hard to throw away. MD has said they will go the way of CA and not let you re-register it if it isn't fixed. What is the fix? Waiting to see what the "fix" is. It is still a good car except for the 50k transmission services.
I sure hope not. Dumped my VW Sportwagen because of the unknowns. Wife still has her 13 Jetta waiting on VW. I love this truck, mileage and everything. This would really suck.
I have the tow mirrors on my 16, puddle lights, and turn signals. They came stock on it. I want to change over to the sport mirrors like you have, but everywhere I've looked and the three dealers in my area say it won't work. The tow mirrors from a 1500 will work about 90% of the time, some...
Sold my Mazda CX-3 and bought my Ram 1500 Big Horn. I have a Ram 3500 that I use for towing and work. Loved to drive my truck, but the mileage and parking a dually wasn't good. The CX-3 was a good little car, but it was on the small side, small fuel tank, a little noisy and difficult to get...
Just joined the forum. Had my 16 Big Horn for about a month, traded in a Mazda for it, missed driving a truck. Have a 3500 I use for towing and work, really miss when I'm not driving it, but fuel costs and the size makes it hard to drive everyday. I use my 1500 for everyday driving, about a...
Had it for about a month, and added some used, some new parts. It is a 16 Big Horn. Used Tyger Riser side steps, Gator Evo dual fold tonneau cover, cabin air filter kit, AVS window visors, LED foot well lights, used bed mat, Mopar mud flaps, Mopar Challenger emblem for the rotary shift knob...
