Ok, not trying to get too controversial (not saying I want the service for free, but maybe discounted... or free) but I am contemplating adding the NAV to my 8.4 uconnect in my 2017 bighorn eco. I was watching a YouTube video and a dude said that he had his done online with a radio repair shop...
Yeah, I had watched this video a few weeks ago. I was thinking about trying that, but theyve already looked at it and called it bad and the warranty is gonna cover it. If I cant get it changed before my trip, I will give it a go. Just gotta find a cheap steam gun and a way to power it up cause...
Well, Its definitely appreciated. Between dealing with the dealership, FCA, and packing my trailer in 100+ degree heat and then thinking about where I could be stranded, I am exhausted! Hell, I was so emotionally stressed I was seriously contemplating a trip to the Chevy dealership to trade this...
Awesome, I was looking at some bad info I think. Someone already posted the start bypass on this thread, so I have that. Thank you for clearing that up for me.
Theres fluid in the tank, but the pump isnt spraying, Im really concerned about frying the exhaust and DPF, or getting it clogged completely. Is there a way for the dealership to manually clean the DPF before I head out?
I chatted to a lady with FCA and asked them if they would send a tow...
Lengthy post, sorry.
So, I have owned my 2017 Bighorn Eco for just over a year now. Never had a single problem until 11 July when my CEL illuminated and a message accompanied it saying there was a DEF fault. Brought it into the dealership and they stated there were no codes, although I scanned...
Damn... my tank/pump was supposed to be in this morning so I dropped the truck off at the service department and left. Found out at 430 this evening that the part never showed. Now its reordered and I am told it will take 5-7 days to show up. My problem is that I am moving in like 7 days...
Just found out an hour ago that my DEF pump is shot at 14,300 on the odometer! Luckily, they will have my replacement tank/pump unit first thing in the morning. Had it in last Thursday but their code scanner couldn't find the permanent code at that time!
Again, just stating my results, guess I got the lucky filter or my MPG calculator is broken... got nothing else.. prior to buying my Ecodiesel, I had a 99 Silverado that gave me right about a 2 mpg increase on it(had to use math for that old thing) brought me right up to 18 mpg.
I never tried to endorse them, just stating my experiences with it. Your right, there is some upkeep on them, I clean and recharge about every 3k. The recharge kit is still way cheaper than a new paper filter and I have recharged mine 4 times off the same $12 recharge kit.
Ive been running the K&N since my odometer had 250 miles on it. Main reason I installed it was because I lived out in the desert with lots of dust storms and I wanted the oil in the filter to stop it from making it into the engine. Noticed quicker throttle response and slightly better mpg with...
