    EGR Cooler Failure

    Every Diesel engine that we have had an EGR cooler fail has shown elevated amounts of sodium (Coolant) in the Engine oil samples. Granted these are in Cat D9's and 836 Compactors.

    That's what I tried to explain to the Dealership but they seemed to think it would be ok. I'm not seeing any signs of coolant in the oil (not milky), but there's certainly traces I'd imagine.
