This was my daily commuter. 30 miles each way to work with 2 stop lights and 1 stop sign. The rest at 65-75 MPH. Nothing out of the ordinary driving. I towed with it about 5 times a small trailer with trash.
After going back and forth with the dealer. FCA denied my 3rd engine replacement and said its on me. Following up with a lawsuit now. The last engine only had about 30k miles. Here's a link I recorded on my 2nd and 3rd blown engine. FCA said "it's my fault " . Some people even commented it...
Unfortunately you're one of many RAM Ecodiesel owners who've had this same problem. Personally, just 3 weeks ago. My 3rd engine failed. It looks like they're going to put a 4th.
I own a 2016 Ecodiesel 4x4 Big Horn. Always taken it to the dealer for maintenance and never drove it rough and...
Update!!!
03/15/2021. Going home from work, I started hearing the clicking noise again. As soon as I hear it. I started recording and here it goes. Sure as heck, my engine flatlines again. 3rd ENGINE PUT IN. IM DONE WITH FCA's ECODIESEL!!!

These lawyers out of LA took my case in September/October. They said I had a good case since I'm on my 3rd engine. Let's hope so!!!
Typo TC Diedel.
I was saying that I felt the loss of power right before the engine went out the last 2 times.
Hope this isn't happening again and they take the truck back before it happens. I love the truck cab and style so I'm just gonna go to as 2500 Cummins engine now.
This is getting out of control.
Like I talked about on a previous previous post.
On my 3rd engine (replaced at 56,000 and 114,000 miles). Now I'm at 136,000 miles and starting to feel the m power loss again. I hope I won my buyback lawsuit before this engine goes out again. I can't afford to...
I agree TC DIESEL, however the ecodiesel engine has had so many common issues, that going this route is the only way the little guy can win. We all complained to them about it and they "fixed" the issue only to have another issue from the "fix".
Given the down time without a car, time and...
I dont think there's a class action yet, I just found an attorney who would represent me individually because I tried a buyback after the first engine fail and got denied. I found this law firm with a good winning success rate.
I tried to get it buy back/lemon it after the first "blown" engine. Tried again after the second blown engine and they refused. I wasn't well informed on the CA lemon laws and that after 63 total days in the shop for the same problem, I could of lemoned it. Now that its on its 3rd engine. So...
This happened to me also twice on my 2016 Big Horn ecodiesel. Once at 54,000 miles and again at 112,000 miles. Kept all my maintenance at the dealerships and had a records. This truck really sucks and should of went with a Cummins. Both times it was covered under powertrain warranty.
