14-18 oil pump spring/check valve

Hey All, did an oil change on my truck yesterday and I noticed the plastic ”check valve” that sits on top of the spring inside the oil filter housing was cracked. and I can’t find that anywhere on any parts diagram. I guess you have to buy the whole filter housing assembly to get one of them. Does anyone have a spare laying around? Is it safe to run with just the spring and not the plastic valve on top of it?
