Ram added a new fuel economy package to the #EcoDiesel 1500 picked that boosts highway fuel economy by 1 MPG per the EPA testing.
The new HFE package, short for "High Fuel Economy" was achieved through better aerodynamics. The city and combined remained the same at 20 MPG city and 23 MPG highway respectively.
The HFE Package is only available on the Quad Cab, 2wd version of the truck. Running boards and a tonneau cover is standard which contributes to the better fuel economy.
