I got the dreaded P0336 code last Friday and limped it back to the dealer. The recall associated with the tone wheel/cranks sensor did not apply to my VIN. I’m assuming because it’s a 2017, and the recall doesn’t include 17 and newer? Can anyone help verify that? Because it’s not affected by the recall, I paid the $1500 out of pocket. I’m frustrated because this seems to be a known problem, that should be covered by a recall.The dealer told me it was just the sensor that went bad, but they changed the tone wheel (at my expense). Does anyone have a suggestion to recoup my money from FCA?
