Got a 2017 RAM 1500 EcoDiesel with 41k Miles on it. All original miles from a good owner.
Some 400 miles later, Low Oil Pressure light came on, on a cold start. I was planning to change the oil and filter anyway so I drove it to work (7 mile drive) where CHECK ENGINE light came came on as pulled into the parking 10 minutes later.
CODE reader reads P0088 Fuel Rail System Pressure High.
Replaced Fuel filter. Replaced Oil and oil filter. Replaced Fuel Pressure Sensor. Dodge Dealer did it actually. And at same time they did one of the softwares recalls February 07, 2024.
Needless to say. Now I'm $1,000 out in repairs, and sure enough the check engine light is back on withing 70 miles after dealer replaced the sensor and updated software.
Has anyone actually fixed a P0088 code on one of these yet?
Any successful stories out there?
