I bought this truck brand new have done all the recalls it has a 170,000 miles and has gotten really loud sounds like a real diesel it went back to sounding normal and then got loud again the engine light came on all it said was the bank 1 exhaust temp sensor can this cause the truck not to do the regen

If it's a emissions fault code (which it sounds like), then yes it can. I would recommend pulling the actual code.

I had the same thing happened .two weeks ago and it says one bank but it was not it was the opposite one. bank two, It will shut your truck down after he tried to re-GEN five times. It cost $38 part,
