Best oil

Hi all,

so I’m getting ready to do my first oil change since my warranty expired on my motor and wanted to get some advice. I’ve heard there’s an “ecodiesel oil for dummies” post or something to that effect that really breaks down all the ins and outs, and shows which oil is truly best for our engines. I’ve had royal purple in it for its lifespan this far, I also know T6 is top notch stuff, but I’ve also heard they’re euro standard oil that were supposed to be running in these engines. If anyone has a link or knows what I’m talking about please let me know!! TIA

I've always used Ram's recommended Rotella T-6, 5w-40. Then In April 2023 a member of another forum called VM Motori, the Ecodiesel manufacturer, he asked them what is the best oil for his Ecodiesel. They said:
Synthetic European oil, MS-12991, 5w-40. MS-12991 is the important factor. So I have switched to Quaker State Euro Full Synthetic, 5W-40

There are two major oil companies for Synthetic European oil, MS-12991, 5w-40:
Quaker State Euro Full Synthetic 5W-40 - 5-Quart 22.97 Walmart & Amazon
Pennzoil Platinum Euro Full Synthetic 5W-40 - 5-Quart 26.44 Walmart & Amazon
