Check Light Scanner

I am new to sight. Recently bought a Foxwell NT301 check light scanner but it will not allow me to access the error code or ex;anation, only that there is an error. Is there any recommendation on a check light scanner that works well for the RAM plus other?

Get ALFAOBD and an MX+ dongle, that's the best setup for the RAM. ALFA is not available for IOS, but there is an android and windows version. I use an unused KINDLE FIRE to run it.
