Chip tuning / exhaust

Can anybody tell me once you get rid of the deaf? Is it okay just to leave your stock exhaust on there until you get different exhaust? Or do you have to change the exhaust right away with the exhaust filter being there? Does that exhaust filter need pulled out right away after you've tuned your truck

You need to pull it at the same time as tuning.. that's the whole point.. as it's usually stopped up or will be very soon.. especially if it's NOT regenerating.
