DPF Filter issues with codes

Hello, my name is Bill, I have a 2016 that has about 86,000 miles on it. I have a persistent code for the particulate filter, aka the glorified cat-con, that I am told will cost me about $2300 to replace. Strange that it is not covered by my 100,000 mile extended warranty, nor was the heater on the DEF tank.
Did I neglect to say that this truck also had a catastrophic engine failure prior to my purchase at 38,000 miles. The car-fax I was shown at the time of purchase mysteriously was missing until I picked up the truck.

Hi Bill, do you do a lot of city driving? Did you get a tune like from GDE or PPEI or sofa king or anything?
