EGR delete question

I am debating on doing the EGR delete on my 2015 Jeep. I live in a state where emissions are checked, so I am looking at just doing the plates on the manifold and top of the cooler.

I know most of the deletes are removing the EGR cooler.

Does doing this delete hurt anything by keeping everything on, just blocking off the top ports?

I have the stage 1 tune from SFT currently.
