1. I want to do a EGR Delete stage 2 and tune, does this effect the use of putting DEF in?

Thanks, I'm just trying to get as much info as I can before I take this project on.

The EGR simply puts some exhaust back into the engines intake. You can effectively shut of the EGR valve with a tube and leave it in place. The EGR cooler can still potentially leak but the exhaust will no longer enter the engines intake. You might want to consider just a tune and deal with the actual delete if it ever becomes necessary.

Is your truck included in the EGR recall? If so I would consider waiting for the replacement before doing anything.

edit. I see you have a 2015 so your truck is included in the recall.

What kind of "Tune" would you suggest, can you point me in the direction...

I’d follow John’s advice brother. I only deleted out of necessity. As he mentioned, your 2015 is included in recall/ extended warranty.

The delete is a pain in the arse and it’ll run you at least $1300-ish with tune.

FYI - The recall John is referring to is described in the two attachments below. FCA does not have a fix for that recall. Last I heard they expect a fix later this month. That doesn't mean you will get it done soon as dealers across the country have many disabled trucks on their lots waiting for the repair. They are paying for the owners' rental cars so I'm sure those trucks will take priority and possibly deplete the parts putting us on backorder.
